第四章主要讲述动物庄园所发生的事在全国迅速传播开来。曼纳庄园（也就是现在的动物庄园）前主人Mr. John带一批人回来抢夺庄园，因为动物们已经做好准备，所以把Mr.John打得落花流水，狼狈逃跑。这次战争动物们命名为“牛棚战役”（The Battle of Cowshed）在这次战役中一头羊牺牲了，并被动物们称为“英雄”，动物们还给它厚葬。

英文原版的《动物庄园》终于读完，这本书虽是小说，讲的是动物，其实就是人类的真实写照。用动物来比喻，显得诙谐，有趣，同时也让人印象深刻。
很多人觉得这本书是对政治或者革命的讽刺，我觉得其实可以从另眼看待，挖掘积极的一面。
首先是对比现实，每个人其实都可以在动物庄园里找到自己的角色，据此内省自己应该有什么改变，这么想的时候，可能会毛骨悚然，但也会有很有趣。即便不给自己安排角色，在现实里也被安排角色。
其次换个角度看待政治，有人的地方，就有江湖，有组织的地方，就有关系，就有政治。政治未必是黑暗，甚至反过来说政治是有力量的，是有生命力的，关键看你如何运用。记得一位革命先烈说过一句话， 只有武器没有政治那是土匪，只有政治没有武器就是软蛋。政治可以让团队凝聚在一起，迸发巨大的能量。
动物庄园最后改名为人类庄园从普通动物有限的生命来看讲，非常惊讶，但从历史的角度去看，发现这个最平常不过，历史从来没有新鲜事。但更重要的是我们在自己有限的生命中积极的把握，积极利用，不至于成为悲惨的BOXER。
